Most of the programs and courses offered are ranked globally and some of the universities are ranked among the top 500 in Times Higher Education. Intakes & Deadlines

New Zealand generally has two intakes i.e. January and July, with few Universities offering multiple intakes in September and November. You should start your admission process around six months before the application deadline. Typically, most universities have three deadlines during one intake.

You can also write to them e-mails if you have any questions. Generally, international offices are very supportive and friendly to international students.

In order to prove your English proficiency, the following certificates are allowed:

Internet-based TOEFL (iBT);

Paper-based TOEFL;

Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE) or Proficiency (CPE);

Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic;

Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB).

When you apply online, you should know that the documents you will need to provide are:

A personal statement of intent;

Your transcripts from secondary school, including any university courses that you may have taken;

Any relevant test scores (ACT or SAT);

Proof of funding, or intent to apply for funding for your tuition;

Proof of paying the application fee;

Your financial aid applications.

Universities can always ask for additional documents if it is necessary.

You should have a student visa to study in New Zealand. The visa approval time varies with the embassy workload. So, you will have to apply 4 weeks before your course starts. However, there are certain rules for visa services for students. You are eligible to apply if you possess all of the below-mentioned requirements:

Genuine Student

Going to follow a recognized full-time course

Be able to pay for your course and support yourself

Be able to intend to follow your chosen course and

Intend to leave the country at the end of the period authorized for your stay

 

Documents required for visa:

Valid passport – Your passport must be valid for at least three months beyond your period of stay in New Zealand

Completed Student Visa Application Form (INZ 1012)

Application fee payment receipt, as you are required to pay 295 NZD + Rs. 690 (approximately) before your interview

An offer of a place – You need to have an offer of a place from a New Zealand institute/university. The forms are usually issued after the tuition fees have been received

Letter from your current institution confirming status as a study abroad student

Health insurance receipt

You may be required to show Health and Character certificates, to prove that your intention of staying in New Zealand is genuine

Two passport-sized photographs

Visa fee: The visa fee will be 295 NZD + Rs. 690 (approximately)

Processing time: Generally it takes 20 working days
